Tools used
For this module, I used several tools to create a lesson plan on how to upload and place images onto a MySpace profile. I used WordPress.com to present my lesson, Tinypic to help demonstrate the lesson, Paint to present screenshots of the following website images, and my very own MySpace account to help demonstrate the lesson as well.
I used screenshots of MySpace, Tinypic, and my own computer files to help demonstrate the lesson in a sequential fashion. I had the images line up with the descriptive text to present and easy-to-follow tutorial.
I used WordPress.com to present the module by categorizing pages with the Introduction, step-by-step lesson, and of course, the final report. I used the Blogroll to link many websites including those used right into the step-by-step lesson plan. I feel that by doing this, it will make the instructions easier for the student to follow because links are provided within the text.
Skills learned
This project enhanced my ability to use images to tell as story, by creating many screenshots in a sequential fashion. I feel I enhanced my ability to write steps with the help of images. I am a visual and hands-on learner, so this project was really a good fit.
Future use
I will definitely be using these tools in the future. For example, I will continue to use MySpace and Tinypic for uploading images. Not only will I use Tinypic for MySpace images, but I can see myself using this tool for other projects if they come along, for example, making a different webpage or sending an image as a URL.
As for the other types of tools I used such as screenshots and Paint, it will have to take other projects to acquire my interest for using these tools. For this course, I feel that these tools are greate, however, for my personal use, I don’t see myself using these tools.
